Desde 2003, Chapinlandia Bakery ha sido más que una panadería: es un pedacito de Guatemala en California. Fundada por José y Elizabeth Aguirre, este negocio familiar nació del deseo de compartir con la comunidad los sabores y tradiciones que llevan en el corazón.
Los hermanos Joshua y Hugo crecieron entre hornos de barro, canastas de pan caliente, el aroma inconfundible del pan dulce guatemalteco, ayudaban en la panadería de su abuelo en su tierra natal, donde no solo aprendieron recetas ancestrales, sino también el valor del trabajo, la familia y la comunidad.
Cada concha, champurrada y pan de manteca que elaboramos está hecho con ingredientes auténticos y una pasión que cruza generaciones. Es nuestra manera de honrar nuestras raíces y ofrecer un pedazo de hogar a todos los que, como nosotros, extrañan el sabor de su tierra.
Hoy, Hugo lidera la expansión de Chapinlandia Bakery, abriendo una segunda ubicación en Hayward, CA. Con orgullo seguimos sirviendo a las comunidades de Oakland y Hayward, llevando con cada pan el sabor auténtico de nuestra Guatemala.

Our Story
Since 2003, Chapinlandia Bakery has been more than just a bakery—it’s a little piece of Guatemala in California. Founded by José and Elizabeth Aguirre, this family-owned business was born from the desire to share with the community the flavors and traditions they hold close to their hearts.
Brothers Joshua and Hugo grew up surrounded by clay ovens, baskets of warm bread, and the unmistakable aroma of Guatemalan sweet bread. They helped in their grandfather’s bakery in their hometown, where they not only learned ancestral recipes but also the values of hard work, family, and community.
Every concha, champurrada, and pan de manteca we make is crafted with authentic ingredients and a passion passed down through generations. It’s our way of honoring our roots and offering a taste of home to all those who, like us, miss the flavors of their homeland.
Today, Hugo leads the expansion of Chapinlandia Bakery with the opening of a second location in Hayward, CA. With pride, we continue serving the communities of Oakland and Hayward. Bringing with every loaf the authentic taste of our Guatemala.
